Road to Hana
Road to Hana is an extremely popular drive around the island. We have done it and it's one of our favorite things to do! A few tips: -Download a phone app that will tell you stories about local culture, where to stop, and directions along the way, our favorite is the GyPSy guide app -You need reservations for a lot of the stops (Black Sand Beach, for example), so plan ahead and get reservations! -Rental car companies will tell you not to drive Road to Hana backwards, but it was one of the coolest experiences we had; use caution if you decide to and know that rental car insurance does NOT cover any damage to your car!

Our favorite town on Maui (heavily affected and changed by the wildfires in 2023) - lots of shops and restaurants (Star Noodle is a must!), and the world famous 151 year old banyan tree
