We are getting married

We had been talking about spending a day in Fort Collins so some time now. Fort Collins is a a small college town about an hour and a half north of Denver. John was going to school there back in 2017. We missed all the chill college places we use to frequent back then. So it wasn't too surprising when John asked to spend a Saturday morning there. We headed up north on 25 for the quick drive. We didn't eat breakfast so we were quite hungry when we arrived at our first stop. We pulled up and John said "remember this place?" It was a tiny taco place called DGT. It was also the first stop on our first date in September of 2017. We sat in the same spot we had those years back and reminisced on that day. Another one of the funkiest spots in town is called the Alley Cat. It's a 24 hour study coffee shop. It sits right above DGT so naturally it was our 2nd stop on 1st date and on this nostalgic recreation. The ceiling tiles are decorated by street art and every table is crowded with sleepy students. After the pit stop we headed around the corner to the Mayor of Old Town, a moody cocktail bar. We made our way to the same table we sat at in 2017. We ordered very sophisticated drinks to try and fit in. Finally we crossed the street to the Colorado Room to chill out with a laid back beer. This is where we ended our thoughtful first date years ago. We remembered how we talked all night with the live music in the background. It was breezy and warm of this proposal day. So we decided to head to Horse Tooth Reservoir to finish this lovely trip down memory lane. Its a quick walk to the bottom where we were going to sit and watch the boats speed by. Once we reached the bottom the whole day seemed to make sense. Olivia turn around to find John on one knee, where he asked the most beautiful question. Her answer was of course, yes. We heard cheers from some nearby bushes where a hidden photographer jumped out. She had captured John's beautifully planned proposal. Praise God!
