We are getting married!

Our story started in Florida 2021, when we were both helpers volunteering at a Luke 10 school(discipleship program). This program lasted for 2 months at a time. Even though we were assigned in different positions mario would always come and check if I needed help in the kitchen. And I remembered him being faithful and helped even on his free time. Mario started to pray for his wife and thought if he would want to get to know someone it would be Tessa. I in the other hand prayed for my husband but never thought of mario possibly being the one God had for me. Shortly after, In end of 2022 Mario messaged me saying he will pass through Bakersfield where I live. Then I thought to offer him to stay at my mom’s place where I am for a few days. That time, we were both coming back from our travels; I was in Israel while he was in Hawaii. So he ended up staying in Bakersfield for almost 3months and during that time he visited often to see me and my mom with nico a friend he was staying with. As I started really getting to know mario I realized he was everything I wanted in a husband. We both liked eachother but hid it from one another. Mario was encouraged to pray and fast for me and on the 2nd day he had a thought to go to Torben Sondergaard and ask for Tessa’s hand in marriage because he is her spiritual father, but he had doubt whether the thought was God’s or his own. The next day the same thought came even stronger and he knew it was from God. But mario wanted to be patient and didn’t know if I would be interested in him. So we both were going to move on until our friend Nico stepped in as the mediator between us. He called me over the phone and at the end of our conversation he asked me if I liked Mario. I told him yes and he told me,” Tessa he has been liking you since he’s been in Bakersfield!” I was so happy to know mario was interested in me because the whole time he showed no emotion or sign he liked me haha. Nico went on telling me everything and told me mario would be a good husband for me. There was one part of the conversation that he shared which shocked me, I had prayed to God and asked that my future husband would go to Torben and ask for my hand in marriage because he is like a spiritual father to me. I know this is a huge confirmation and also that I had feelings for him and many more little confirmations. Shortly after, mario and I began our relationship on February 15th 2023, it was so special and we have talked so much after that about how we really felt about one another and what God wants us to do in our lives. On December 4th 2023 is when mario got the chance to speak to Torben and ask for my hand. And we were so amazed how God made it possible. Torben and Lene are happy for me and mario. I’m so excited and looking forward to what God has for us.
