11 years later.

A thousand years ago in an exotic land called Stow, Ohio, Kerry and Mario were set up on a blind date to attend Mario's prom together. Kerry's friend kept pointing to the wrong guy the entire week before so when he picked her up for their first double date at the bowling alley she was surprisingly smitten with his True Religion jeans, Hollister polo, flops, and his Curve cologne. Being the incredibly calm and graceful person that she is, Kerry spent the night making awkward comments and even bowled an eleven, which is enough to impress any man. Kerry was certain he would never call her back but to her amazement he did. On his 18th birthday (May 1st) Mario asked Kerry to prom and the rest is history. We went on our first official date to the Michelin Five-Star Restaurant, Applebee's, and soon became annoyingly inseparable. We spent most of the month of May embarrassing our friends by wrestling in public or screaming the wrong words to Third Eye Blind songs. On May 22nd (our wedding date) we attended the long awaited prom and now eleven years to the day we will still be awkwardly dancing to Yeah! by Usher.

Mario and Kerry had been on approximately nineteen vacations leading up to their trip to Iceland (all without a proposal to the disappointment of our fans) so she had no expectation of it being anything more than a "low-budget trip". On the second day they decided they were going to drive almost three hours into the barren landscape of Western Iceland in search of a single Game of Thrones filming location. It was a beautiful day filled with constant rain, gusting winds, and cloudy skies. When they finally arrived, Kerry decided that she was going to sprint out into the rain and take as many pictures as possible before running back to the car, unbeknownst to her, Mario was getting ready to propose. Many times Mario tried to stop her from frantically running around the side of the mountain to propose but she did not make it easy. At one point she dropped the camera lens over the side of a waterfall and resentfully army-crawled to get it when Mario wouldn't take his hand out of his pocket (even though it was right next to his foot). In a flash she was off again when Mario grabbed her backpack and spun her around. Kerry immediately started berating him about hurrying back to the car when Mario suddenly got down on one knee. In that moment Kerry ignored the fact that she might get pneumonia and accepted his proposal. The one witness took their picture (which was blurry) and they spent the next five days in bliss (and wayyyyyy better weather). *In all seriousness, we are so excited that we get to live this life together and spend our days laughing, listening to One Direction, playing Pokemon Go, etc.

*We have three pets: two dogs named Nymeria and Rhea and a cat named Luna. They are currently all financially dependent on us and we are looking forward to evicting them when they turn eighteen. *We have traveled to twenty places together and are adding Mario's (6%) Motherland, Greece, to that list for our honeymoon. *We love Game of Thrones and had to re-evaluate our priorities in life when it ended. Mostly because we thought that the ending would actually leave us fulfilled and not send us into a deep depression. Thanks Dave and Dan. *During his time at Acme Fresh Market Mario was introduced to something so powerful it would change our lives forever: One Direction. We will always remember where we were when news dropped that Zayn left. The Phoenix Express parking lot will never be the same.
