FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kayla Calaf and Mario Marena
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our guests dress to impress! Our wedding is garden formal, meaning ladies should wear tea-length dresses, floor-length gowns, or dressy separates. Gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sport coat. Feel free to explore with fun patterns or colors for the "garden" part of our dress code. Please reserve colors such as white, ivory, or cream for the bride. No jeans please!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To help with our planning, we ask that you kindly RSVP by April 19th, 2025. If we don't receive your RSVP by the date specified, we will have to assume you are not coming and indicate you as a "no". We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner and appreciate your understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us while the hangover is on you. Please note that there is a complimentary shuttle that will run between our venue and our blocked hotel throughout the night, should you be drinking and need a ride back to the hotel.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin punctually at 4 o'clock in the evening. If you plan on driving to our venue, we ask that you arrive no later than 3:40pm to accommodate for parking. If you plan to shuttle in, please arrive by 3:50pm to ensure you do not miss the ceremony.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you kindly put your phones away and on silent during our ceremony. We have an amazing photographer and will absolutely share those photos with you! After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you like!

Question

Is the ceremony/reception outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors so please plan accordingly! Should the weather not be in our favor, we will move the ceremony to the reception space indoors.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes! Both will take place at the Mansion at Bald Hill in Woodstock, Connecticut. The ceremony will be located in the garden, weather permitting, while the cocktail hour and reception will be located at the Mansion hall.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly.
