This is the neighborhood where it all began! Mario thinks that this is the greatest little pocket of fun in the "hood". It is very walkable but parking is insane after 5 or on the weekends. Our top recommended place is Eno's Pizza Tavern because it has our favorite pizza in dallas with a great selection of drinks.
Deep Ellum is great if you're looking to check out some local bands, awesome bars, or great food. We recommend Pecan Lodge if you're looking for the best BBQ Dallas has to offer.
The Trinity Groves is a collection of restaurants just on the other side of the iconic Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Our recommendation is Chino, a Mexican-asian fusion place… its weird but amazing!
Cedars is a neighborhood just south of Dallas with several music venues. It's a great place to see a movie or catch a concert. We often frequent Alamo Drafthouse / Vetted Well for it has the best movie experience ever! Get there half an hour early for the preshow. It also has a great bar on top with one of the best views of the Dallas skyline in the city.
The Art District is a fun place for a cheap day of fun with a short walk to the park for the food trucks. There are many museums in the area but the DMA and Perot are our favorites.
Oak Lawn has lots and lots of food. Our favorite place is EatZi's market. Don’t know what to eat? Try everything.
Uptown has many upscale shops and restaurants. The Rustic has great food with great outdoor seating and there is usually live music playing.
