Reid Park Zoo
Centrally located. Great zoo, with lots to see! Admission is about $10.
Tumamoc Hill
Centrally located, tough, and inclined hike that delivers a great view of the desert and city. Should take about 1 hour.
Arizona Sonora Desert Museum
Near Old Tucson Studios, on the West side of town. Come to check out all the local desert creatures found in Tucson. Highly recommend the free "Raptor Flight Show" at 10:00am (come 20 minutes early to get a good spot to stand). Admission is about $30 and takes 2-2.5 hours to see it all.
Old Tucson Studios
Julianna used to work here as a can-can girl and stunt woman! Located on the West side, near the desert museum. It is a renowned film set and family theme park. It has been the filming location of hundreds of classic western films and TV shows. Come check out the stunt/dance shows and try some good'ol western food! Admission is about $40. During October, they have a scary amusement park at night- which is called NightFall. Jules also used to be a part of this.
Tucson Botanical Gardens
Centrally located. Beautiful cactus gardens, butterfly/orchid pavilion, and beautiful displays of native plants. Admission is $20.
Trail Dust Town
Located on the East side of town. Typical old western town with stunt/magic shows, there is a mini train you can ride, and a great steakhouse! Its a nice place to walk around for 30 minutes.
Pima Air & Space Museum
Located SE of Tucson. It is one of the world's largest non-government funded aerospace museums. The museum features a display of nearly 400 aircraft spread out over 80 acres. Admission is about $20.
Sabino Canyon Hiking Trails
Located on the NE side of town, offers dozens of different hikes of different lengths and intensities. Local favorite is "7 falls," which is about a 8.5 miles round trip.
The University of Arizona Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum
Located downtown (not at the U of A). Come check out a variety of unique gems! Open Tuesday-Saturday. Admission is $15.
San Xavier Mission
Located 9 miles South of Tucson. It is the oldest intact European structure in Arizona. Founded as a Catholic mission by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. Admission is free.
Kartchner Cavern
Located in Benson, about an hour SE of Tucson. Beautiful active cave with amazing formations and an experience you will never forget. Admission is $23 and the tour of the cave will take around 2 hours.
