The Colony Clubhouse 225 White Pine Canyon Park City Utah 84060
Late October in the mountains is absolutely gorgeous, but it definitely brings true, crisp fall weather! You can expect average daytime highs in the 50s, with the temperature dropping down into the 30s (or even 20s!) at night. The mountain weather can change quickly, and early snow is always a possibility. We highly recommend packing plenty of layers and bringing a warm jacket so you can stay cozy and comfortable all weekend long!
We want everyone feeling their absolute best, so this is a great question! Park City sits at roughly 7,000 feet above sea level. Here are our top tips for beating altitude sickness: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate: Start drinking extra water a few days before you even board your flight, and keep a water bottle with you all weekend. Take it easy: Give your body some grace on your first day! Don't push yourself with a strenuous hike the minute you arrive. Watch the drinks: Alcohol hits you quite a bit faster and harder at higher elevations. Pace yourself so you can party with us all night long! Bring lotion & lip balm: The mountain air is incredibly dry, so you will definitely want extra moisturizer!
Friday Welcome Reception: Semi-Formal / Casual. We just want you comfortable, looking sharp, and ready to kick off the weekend! Saturday Wedding Day: Formal / Cocktail. To make our celebration even more magical, we would love for our guests to lean into our wedding theme by wearing earth and fall tones! Think beautiful rusts, deep greens, warm terracottas, moody browns, or rich golds.
We are taking full advantage of the beautiful mountain scenery, so our ceremony will be held outdoors! (Be sure to bring a jacket or wrap to stay warm while we say our "I dos!"). Afterward, we will move indoors for the reception to heat up the dance floor, though there will be gorgeous outdoor spaces open all evening if you want to step out, grab some fresh air, and look at the stars!
