Things To Do

There are many hikes and beautiful drives in the area. Here are a few fun little adventures. Each hike listed below does not require high clearance. There are hundreds more. Use All trails to find hikes. Download the maps of the hikes and map to get to the hikes before you go. Some hikes require high clearance cars to get to the trailhead, so be sure to read the description.

Lower Calf Creek Falls

UT 84716

Easy trail (longer hike) to a beautiful waterfall.

Boulder Mail Trailhead

Boulder, UT 84716

One of my favorite areas to hike! The entire trail goes from Boulder - Escalante and would take all day or overnight. You can hike part of this trail as an out and back: start at the boulder mail trail, trailhead, hike ~3 miles down to sandcreek (usually there is some water) and back out for a total of ~6-7 miles. The trail is exposed, so go early or be very prepared for the heat.

Burr Trail Road

Burr Trail Road, Boulder, UT 84716

Gorgeous drive with lots of places to stop. Start in Boulder, go as far as you want. I recommend at least going as far as Singing Canyon. It's an amazing spot. Download a map with spots you might want to stop. No cell service. Bring a picnic and find a pullout to stop and have lunch in the desert.

Hells Backbone Road

Hells Backbone Road, Boulder, UT

Fun drive, check road conditions. Gorgeous views. Boulder--> Escalante

Escalante River Trailhead

Escalante, UT 84726

Easy hike along the Escalante river. Wear shoes to walk in the river.

For all the days along the way
