The nearest village is Gaiole in Chianti — Castello di Meleto sits only about 1–2 km from the town, so it’s an easy walk (roughly 10–25 minutes)
Other nearby hamlets you’ll see on maps — Lecchi in Chianti and San Sano — are also close by but a little farther (typically ~3–4+ km from Meleto), so they’re walkable for fit walkers or hikers (40–75 minutes) and common on local walking/biking routes.
