Unknowingly, for a few years, they would walk past each other at conventions. Who would have known that one decision by Daniel would bring us all here to celebrate love? They began talking in early 2018, staying up all night on Skype calls. Over time, they realized that they couldn't shake the deep connection they felt toward one another, to the point where they almost stopped talking. They were afraid of falling in love. In 2019, Daniel and Nataly confessed their feelings to each other, and the rest was history. From being complete strangers to reading the Bible together on the couch with their cats, Walle and Sydney, God's merciful and careful hands molded and sculpted two completely different roads and lifestyles into one. Through miles, trials, and plenty of therapy, they grew together. He learned that where there is strength, there must also be vulnerability—he was safe with her. She learned that she could be vulnerable while still being strong—she was safe with him. On March 22, 2025—one day before her birthday—he asked her to be his bride after six years together. Surrounded by childhood friends, in their happy place in Rhode Island, during the golden hour sunset, he got down on one knee, and she said yes to forever with him.
