Question
Where do I park for the reception?
Answer
Please note that there is no parking available directly at the venue. All guests should park in the main John Ball Zoo parking lot, as shown above. If you are using GPS or a mapping app, please enter John Ball Zoo as your destination. Using Bissell Tree House as your destination will not direct you to the correct parking area. Complimentary transportation will be provided between the main Zoo parking lot and the Bissell Tree House throughout the event. Transportation will primarily be provided by the Zoo’s shuttle service, and if available, guests may also use the Zoo’s funicular. Shuttle service for cocktail hour will begin at 4:15 PM, so we recommend arriving early to ensure you have plenty of time to reach the venue before festivities begin. Drinks and apps will be served beginning at 5:00 PM to kick off the cocktail hour. The 2 shuttles operate continuously throughout the event, with each shuttle accommodating up to 14 guests with an approximate 10-minute round trip. If the funicular is running, it is located near the Zoo entrance and offers a scenic ride up the hillside directly to the venue. If you have any questions upon arrival, please feel free to ask a John Ball Zoo staff member for assistance—they will be happy to help direct you.

Are children and plus ones allowed?

You’ll find details on your invitation if a plus one or children are included. While we would love to celebrate with everyone, our reception space is limited. Thank you so much for understanding!

What is the attire?

We kindly ask guests to join us in formal attire. Suits, formal dresses, or elegant cocktail attire are all wonderful options.

What do I do between the ceremony and reception?
Answer
Our ceremony wraps up at 3 PM, and the church kindly asks that all guests exit by 3:30. The reception venue is just a quick 5-minute drive away, so you’ll have a little time to relax before the celebrations continue! Feel free to grab a drink or snack nearby, or take a stroll through the John Ball Zoo and say hi to the animals. Cocktail hour kicks off at 5 PM with appetizers, followed by dinner and dancing!
