Here’s the general timeline for our wedding day: Ceremony: 3:00 PM at Duke Chapel Reception: 5:00–10:00 PM at The Umstead Hotel & Spa We recommend arriving a bit early so you have time to park, settle in, and enjoy the moment with us.
If you plan to drive to the ceremony at Duke Chapel, we recommend parking near Duke’s Bryan Center area, which is close to the Chapel and within easy walking distance. Parking options include: Bryan Center Parking Garage (Parking Garage IV) Bryan Center Visitor Lot or nearby street parking These visitor parking areas typically have a fee of about $2 per hour. From there, it’s just a short walk to Duke Chapel. Be sure to allow plenty of time to find a space!
The closest and most convenient airport is: Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) RDU is the main airport serving the Triangle area and is a short drive from Durham, Raleigh, Cary, and Chapel Hill.
If you plan to drive to The Umstead Hotel & Spa for the reception, you are welcome to self-park in the hotel’s guest parking area. The reception will be held at the Ballroom, which is located a bit separate from the main lobby entrance. You can absolutely enter through the main entrance, but for the closest access, we recommend following the signs for “Meeting and Banquet Rooms” once you arrive.
Yes! We will be providing a shuttle from Duke Chapel to The Umstead Hotel & Spa immediately following the ceremony. The shuttle will have space for approximately 75 guests, and we kindly ask that priority be given to our wedding party and guests who do not have access to a car or transportation. If you are able to drive or carpool, we encourage you to do so in order to leave shuttle space for those traveling without a vehicle.
Yes! We have a room block at The Umstead Hotel & Spa. We currently have 5 rooms reserved for Friday and 10 rooms reserved for Saturday. Reservations can be made by calling 1-866-877-4141 or 919-447-4000. You have to ask for the "Ubaldo & Streit Courtesy Wedding Room Block" special rate. Reservations must be made prior to the cut-off date of Wednesday, April 22, 2026. We have also listed several additional hotel options under the Travel section of our wedding website for guests who may prefer to stay nearby.
Our dress code is formal, with a soft, romantic color palette. We’d love to see guests in summery pastels and light neutrals formal attire. We kindly ask guests to avoid very dark suits (black/navy/charcoal), so the overall look stays light and cohesive in photos. To make things easy, we’ve provided a helpful attire guide here (also included on the invitation card we sent out): https://bit.ly/marigrantguestattire Thank you for helping us bring this dreamy celebration to life!
North Carolina weather can be unpredictable, but we expect warm temperatures. We recommend: Light layers for the evening Comfortable shoes for walking Bringing an umbrella just in case
Your presence is truly the greatest gift. If you would like to give something, we have a registry listed on our wedding website. Please click the Registry tab for more details. Thank you so much for your love and support!
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are listed on the invitation. If you have any questions about your RSVP, please reach out to us directly.
We love your little ones! However, our wedding will be an adult-focused celebration unless children are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you for understanding.
We kindly ask that guests keep phones away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Our photographer and videographers will capture everything, and we can’t wait to share photos with you afterward!
Please feel free to reach out to us anytime. We’re so grateful you’re making the trip to celebrate with us, and we want your weekend to be easy and joyful.
