From Marinee's POV: I spent most of my childhood in one of the smallest towns in Mississippi—Belmont. It was the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, life moves a little slower, and home always feels familiar. In 2021, a year after graduating high school, I dove head first in a new chapter. I packed up and moved in with family to Hermitage, Tennessee. It was a leap of faith—new town, new beginnings, and a whole new world awaiting. Like many young adults starting over in a new place, I decided to try Hinge, hoping to meet new people and make connections. I never expected that within a week, a simple match would change everything. I came across Hunter—a kind, genuine guy who immediately stood out. Our conversations came easily, filled with laughter, curiosity, and a "can't get enough" feeling. After only a few days, we decided to meet in person. Our first official date was at M.L. Rose in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee—and from the very beginning, something just felt different. What makes our love story even more incredible is how far it truly began. I was born in Mexico—miles and miles away from where Hunter was born in Tennessee. Two completely different worlds, raised in different places with different paths… and yet somehow, it’s as if an invisible string was always guiding us towards one another. Funny to think that our lives were being woven together long before we ever even knew each other existed. We quickly became inseparable. The best way I can describe it is, we are best friends, each other’s safe place, and each other’s greatest joy. We love doing everything together from the big adventures to the everyday moments. Even though our story doesn’t go back to childhood, it feels like our souls have known one another forever. Looking back, it's clear God was working all along. Two strangers, in a new season of life, brought together at exactly the right time. A simple match turned into a love story full of purpose, laughter, growth, and a kind of love that feels heaven-sent.
