Maid of Honor
Ashley and I are cousins and have been best friends since I was about 4 hours old. We were flower girls for our aunt's wedding when we were 7 and discovered what a maid of honor was. We immediately agreed to be each other's maids of honor when the time came, and here we are, 25 years later, upholding our promise! I was honored to stand by her when she married Chris, and she will be there with me. We spend our childhood spending the night at each others houses (after a very long and complicated process of asking our parents in specific orders to get the best results). We often told people we were twins, then asked who they thought was older. The fact that Ashley was 4 months older was a VERY big deal at the time. We grew up together, camping for weeks at a time while sharing a tent, riding our bikes to the Beyond Hope to play pool and drink Shirley Temples (no ice, please!) and choreographing dance routines to Backstreet Boy songs. Now, I get to see her become a mom to some fantastic kiddos (both of whom you will see in the wedding!), but we still love singing along to Backstreet Boys!
Lauren Nelms

Lauren lived across the hall from me Freshman year in CM (the best worst dorms you could imagine!). After a random evening throwing a ball down the hall way, a friendship was forged that has lasted forever (or the last 14 years). We moved in together during the last two years of college in the wonderful 322, where we discovered, without vowels, our names rhymed. From that point forward, we have been Mern and Lern. From drinking too much through college, to both deciding to be teachers, to visiting and catching up like no time has passed, Lern has been one of the best people in my life. You can find us making the "Snooki needs her nails done" face, doing random (bad) dance moves, and petting all the dogs. I am sure Lern will keep my cup filled and the dance floor exciting.
Amanda Sellsted

Amanda and I met in 7th grade through the merging of two friend groups and have stayed friends ever since! During high school, you could most likely find us at the mall spending too much money or spending whole nights trying to decide what to do, before giving in and just staying home. I spent many weekends in her condo in Bellevue picking up like no time had passed. I don't think I laugh as hard as I do with Amanda, and I am so glad she is in my life (and wedding!). You can find us laughing at how dumb we were in high school, planning fabulous shopping adventures, or just hanging out on the couch.
Richelle Bronson

Richelle and I met at summer camp before 7th grade and kept that friendship going for the last 20 years! Many movie nights and sleepovers were had in her basement with our favorite dessert- molten chocolate baby cakes, with too many inside jokes to recount. College brought adventures in Seattle and random texts about the latest drama. I can always count on Richelle for singing her heart out (you might even hear it at the reception!) and laughing so hard we cry. You can probably find us discussing Harry Potter, quoting The Office, or talking about all the drama that comes with being an adult. I am so excited to have her here with me!
Raquel Smith

Raquel and I met while working at St. Al's while I was in college. Raquel and I bonded over crazy parents and the joys of working at a day care (sorry- ELC). We have been to almost every happy hour in Spokane and torn up all the dance floors we can find. Raquel is always down for a last minute drink or a barbecue in the backyard with friends. No one does summer quite like Raquel. She also introduced me to all the wonders of Las Vegas- and there are lots! You can find us drinking and eating half price appetizers, dancing at Nyne, laying on the beach or out and about in Spokane. I am so excited to dance the night away at the wedding!
