Our desire to make our wedding day as peaceful, joyful, and relaxed as possible (combined with our love of adventure and our less-than-traditional personalities) meant that exchanging vows privately during a trip of a lifetime was the right choice for us. We are very excited to celebrate with you shortly after we become husband & wife!
Yes! Hiring a good photographer and videographer who could capture the joy and beauty of our wedding day was high on our list of priorities as we considered elopement possibilities. We are excited to share the finished products with you once they are completed, so you can experience that joy and beauty with us.
Pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a typical wedding, minus the ceremony! Picture bride and groom attire, cocktail hour, a first dance, speeches, dinner, and dancing– the whole nine yards.
We’ll be dressed up, so you should feel free to, too! Cocktail attire would be most suited to the venue.
There are a lot of kids in our community who are near and dear to our hearts, but due to our limited guest capacity we’re unable to invite children outside of our immediate families. Of course, if you’re nursing a newborn or traveling from out of state and are unable to secure childcare, please let us know and we’d be happy to see if we can make it work! Otherwise, please consider this a parents’ date night out on us!
We would love to say yes, but since there is a ceiling to the number of guests we can host, please check the name(s) on your invitation to see if you’ve been given a plus one!
Yes, we want to treat our friends and family to a fun night of celebrating! Please exercise good judgment and drink responsibly.
There are a limited number of parking spots available by the venue, so we’ve hired a valet service to handle parking for you!
Gifts are greatly appreciated, but not expected, as we start our life together and build a home mostly from scratch. We’ve had many friends and family already reach out asking about a registry so we’ve created one that you are welcome to use, though celebrating with you is a gift in its own right.
