Maid of Honor
Marina's younger cousin who's known for her infectious giggles! India is unapologetically true to herself and always stands up for what's right. Marina admires how thoughtful, independent, genuine, and brave India is and feels honored to call her a cousin and friend. Even if the sleepovers and late night talks don't happen as often as they used to, the distance to Colorado can't keep these girls apart!
Best Man
Joaquin is Cesar’s cousin, but in every way that matters, he is his brother. Growing up, Cesar spent summers with him in Honduras, running around the neighborhood, playing soccer, and getting into just enough trouble to create lifelong memories. Joaquin completed his college education at JSU and was the first person to show Cesar the ropes during his freshman year. Joaquin and his family live in Honduras, where he works as an economist at the National Bank of Honduras.
Matron of Honor
Marina's cool, older cousin who she eternally looks up to. Closer to sisters than cousins, they share a love of beauty, fashion, and cheering on their Auburn alma mater. Lauren is simultaneously warmhearted, passionate, generous, and a force to be reckoned with! Marina appreciates Lauren's well-roundedness, determination, and steadfast character.
Groomsman
Preston and Cesar met during their master’s program at UAH and hit it off immediately—each instantly recognizing the other as a kindred spirit who had arrived in Huntsville by way of the Midwest. Preston combines a rare intellectual depth with an equally rare kindness. His intentional (and unintentional) hijinks remain the stuff of Huntsville graduate-school lore. A Des Moines native, Preston now lives in Riverside, California, where he works as a data analyst for Riverside County.
Bridesmaid
Marina's "cousin-in-law" turned book-clubbing bestie! Since officially joining the fam in 2019, Sam brings warmth, fun, kindness (and charcuterie!) wherever she goes. She's the sunshiny, silly, supportive kind of friend you're always happy to be around. Ask her about her current read, upcoming Disney trip, or book recommendations!
Groomsman
Danny and Cesar met during their doctoral program at UAB, where Danny was assigned as Cesar’s mentee—though Cesar never expected him to become such an immediate and close friend. Danny is brilliant, hardworking, and endlessly gregarious. Nobody throws a party like Danny, and nobody is a more gracious host. Danny is a loyal friend to the end. A fellow Midwesterner from Kansas City, Missouri, Danny is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at UAB.
Bridesmaid
Auburn-haired and fun-loving, Angel is one of Marina's longest-running friends. They began as middle school squadmates and continued to grow close as they cheered together in high school. Angel loves her family and friends wholeheartedly and Marina commends Angel's readiness for adventure and celebration. If you need a pick-me-up or a sourdough starter recipe, Angel is your go-to gal!
Groomsman
Marina's twin brother who is fiercely loyal, absurdly goofy, wildly intelligent, and a secret softie. From being womb-mates to college roommates, G's been there for every life moment, no matter how big or small. While Griffin's not scooting around the manufacturing floor or repairing machinery, he can be found tinkering in his home garage. If you wanna get him talking, bring up anything car-related or ask him about being a cat dad!
Bridesmaid
Friends since their cheerleading days, Kaleigh can be counted on to bring the party and the laughs! Even while attending rival colleges, they maintained and grew their friendship with frequent meetups over margaritas and Mexican food. Marina cherishes seeing Kaleigh as a mother to three babies and admires her tenacity and easy-going spirit. War Eagle always, but "KPRTR" forever!
Ring Bearer
Elijah is Cesar's eldest nephew, Marina & Cesar's godchild, and the son of Amanda and Dustin McLaughlin. When Elijah isn't making googly eyes at Marina he enjoys coloring, being outside, playing with his brother Xavier, eating "mo mos" (mangos), and all things superheroes.
Flower Girl
Elle is Marina's 5-year-old cousin and the daughter of Lauren and Timothy Busby. Elle is the youngest of three and is prissy, sweet, and cute as can be! If she's not helping mommy bake, you can find her practicing her ballet positions, tending to her baby dolls, making arts & crafts, or maybe even sneaking icing off someone else's birthday cake!
