Our first date took place on St. George island, Florida. We started off with lunch at the beach pit, the only BBQ place in town, where Jason ate a whole rack of ribs and Marina decided on just chicken tenders. (from this order Jason concluded that chicken tenders were her favorite food and later drove her drove her to an entirely different state for that purpose but that is a story for later.) While eating the two instantly hit it off and decided to go down to the beach afterwards, there they decided to play a game of catch with a football which Marina was absolutely terrible at, they then swam and enjoyed their day in the sun. The afternoon ended with a sunset walk on the beach and Jason driving an hour and a half home JUST TO COME BACK AND DO IT AGAIN THE NEXT DAY! This date they both determined that this relationship had a lot of potential and that they wanted to continue to enjoying the company of one another.

After Marina got off of work on May 20, 2023 she met Jason at his apartment where he told her that there was this pizza place on Panama City Beach that he would like to try and that we should get it for dinner, so with that they both changed and went to pick up the pizza. Jason ordered it for take out then drove them to the beach for a sunset picnic. They sipped prosecco and ate a giant 18" pizza as the sun went down where afterwards Jason got on one knee and popped the question. It was the most perfect moment that Marina could have imagined where she said "Are you sure?" jokingly, then of course "yes"!
