Maid of Honor
Marina and I met in 2010 while both attending Marian Catholic High School, and participating in band and color guard. In true early 2000s fashion, our relationship blossomed by having embarrassingly long and cringe-worthy conversations on our friends' Facebook statuses, and we bonded over our mutual love for Super Bass by Nicki Minaj and the Pop Punk genre. Thankfully, we have grown out the side bangs and put down the eyeliner, and maintained our friendship through every awkward phase any teenage girl could possibly have. Though years have gone by and the miles between us are many, Marina is still the best friend a girl could ask for. I'm so, so thankful that Marina is marrying someone who understands that I'm her real soulmate. Can't wait to celebrate Marina and Evan this fall!
Best Man
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing evan through our irresponsible adolescence, an erratic college experience & early 20’s,(ohhh the stories...) and more recently, in the midst of a sacred union between evan & his best friend, marina. While our story of how we met is unexciting & mellow dramatic,(it was at the end-of-the -year-8th grade movie party, exciting. we know!!) the memories & experiences over the years have quite literally been the opposite. I am truly honored for my involvement in this extraordinary ceremony and could not be happier for my friends in their eternal bond.

I first met Marina in 5th grade when I changed schools and started attending St. Liborius in 2006. We did every activity together, from basketball and volleyball, to choir and even a summer theater camp. When high school rolled around, we both joined color guard at Marian Catholic High School, where we eventually became co-captains during our senior year. After spending the better part of eight years doing almost everything together, it was definitely strange to be separated during college, but I’m so thankful that I am still able to call Marina one of my best friends. I’m so excited for her and Evan, and I can’t wait to stand beside her on their big day!

Marina and I met in the Fall of 2014 when we both joined Tri Sigma our freshman year at SEMO. We quickly bonded over our Tri Sigma legacy while sharing random long islands at Last Call. When Marina and I were serving on the same exec team in Tri Sigma, we quickly discovered that the main thing we have in common is the amount of energy we are both willing to put into the things we are passionate about. Watching Marina and Evan grow into the amazing couple that they are makes me so excited to stand next to them on their big day!

Evan and I both don’t remember when we first met. Probably at a party and you know how those go. But we quickly became great friends, and then he started bringing Marina around. At first I thought of her as the girl who talks way too loud... Turns out, she’s actually pretty cool and her and Evan became the couple we were all happy to see together. They’re two great friends of mine, and even greater people. Happy for you two! Cheers!

Evan and I met at the Lambda Chi Alpha house after we accepted our bids. He challenged me for a game of ping pong and we ended up splitting a fifth of Burnett’s later that night (terrible idea right?). Over the years, Evan and I have created countless memories, including nights which neither of us remembered the next morning. Even though we don't get to see each other as much, every time we meet it feels like no time has passed. I am pumped to stand by Evan as he marries his best friend, Marina

Marina, You may not remember the first time that we met, it’s okay. That’s just how you are... whether it be forgetting your keys at the sorority house or losing your cell phone multiple times in one day, I’ll be here to help you remember. We first met getting sworn in at one of our Tri Sigma ceremonies. Your bubbly energy and contagious laugh naturally drew me towards you and we became friends right away. My favorite memory with you was when we were jamming out in my car to “My Own Worst Enemy” in the middle of winter. We had lows in life that we stuck through together, but we will always climb higher, together. I’m so happy for you and Evan. You are about to write an exciting new chapter and I cannot wait to read it. I am so honored to stand by your side on your special day!

Marina and I met in college when I joined Tri Sigma in 2015. We spent many late nights venturing around Cape Girardeau, making memories in bars with sticky floors and cheap drinks. We bonded over our love for reading fantasy novels and Damon Salvatore. Now, she corrupts me with her fan fiction novels (don’t tell her but they are actually pretty good and I enjoy them). Marina is one of the most loyal and supportive friends and Evan is incredibly lucky to be marrying her. I have to give Evan a little credit too. Thanks for letting me claim the spare bedroom as my own and not saying anything that one time I slept in the bed with you and Marina. I’m so lucky to be able to call you both my friends and I’m so happy to stand up during your big day!

Evan and I met back in elementary school. I knew him growing up and still hanging out with him. Evan and I have became really good friends over the years and formed a tight bond. In high school, Evan and I were on tennis together and played as duo partners. Evan being a really good athlete definitely didn't lack at skill in tennis. I was held too high standards being his partner, but I held up my end. The bus rides over to away games, at different schools, I had a blast joking around with him and some of our other friends on the team. More recently, I got asked by him to help plan his bachelor party with him and that just shows what our friendship means to one another. I am proud of him for going after his career passion and I couldn't be happier for him and his life partner, Marina.

I wanted to be friends with her dad and use the pool so that’s the reason we’re friends. Just kidding. Marina and I met when she joined color guard her freshman year which was my sophomore year. I don’t know how it happened but Marina became one of my best friends and I protected her like family. Everyone knew we were a package deal. Marina’s family treats me like their own. From Fourth of July parties, to annual “Christmas Eve Eve” sleepovers, made up (but better) names for her pets, and us dying not only our own hair with kool-aid but her dog’s (he was fine), I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’d drive across the country for this girl (which I’ve done multiple times). I am so proud of the beautiful woman she’s become and can’t wait to stand by Marinas side while she marries Evan!

Marina and I met in our freshman year of high school at Marian Catholic. Our mutual friend Allie aka MOH introduced me to her and Aimee at one of our band/guard practices. We all quickly learned that we enjoyed laughing and crying at the same dumb things, and only survived high school with each other at our sides. Our friendship only has grown with age, and I am so excited to be apart of Marina and Evans special day

In my freshman year of college I had the pleasure of meeting two people who would become some of my best friends, Evan and Marina. Despite becoming good friends with each of them over time, it was in our senior year that we really became close. Evan and I decided to be roommates that year, during which Marina also slowly but surely moved in. Soon enough she was there more than both of us combined and attempted to make the apartment her own after trying to adopt a dozen cats from the parking lot. It’s was a great year filled with plenty of skipped classes, binged tv shows, and noodles in the sink (thanks for that part, Evan). I look forward to celebrating with you both.
