Planning Tip: Diamond Head is one of Oʻahu's most popular attractions and requires advance reservations for non-residents. If you'd like to visit, we recommend booking early to secure your preferred date and time. The hike is considered moderate in difficulty and takes about 1.5–2 hours roundtrip, but you'll be rewarded with incredible panoramic views of Waikīkī and the Pacific Ocean.
Planning Tip: One of our favorite places on Oʻahu! Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden is free to visit and open from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (closed Thursdays). Guests can enjoy a scenic drive through the garden or stop to explore the walking paths and viewpoints. We recommend visiting in the morning for cooler temperatures, fewer crowds, and the best mountain views. Don't forget your camera! 🌺📸
Planning Tip: Makapuʻu Lighthouse Trail is open daily from 7:00 AM–6:45 PM. Parking is free but can fill up quickly, especially on weekends and holidays, so we recommend arriving early. The paved trail is approximately 2 miles roundtrip and takes most visitors 1–2 hours to complete. You'll be rewarded with some of the most spectacular coastal views on Oʻahu 🌊🐋☀️
Planning Tip: Kualoa Ranch is one of Oʻahu's most popular attractions and is best known as the filming location for Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, Lost, 50 First Dates, and many other movies and TV shows. Popular activities include ATV tours, UTV tours, horseback riding, ziplining, and movie site tours. Advance reservations are highly recommended, especially during the summer months, as popular tours often sell out. Plan to spend at least 3–4 hours here, or longer if you book multiple activities. 🚙🦖🌴
