FAQs

Question

There's a pandemic happening. Is this thing still on?

Answer

No. Yes. Sort of. Because we love you all too much, we're postponing our wedding celebration due to COVID-19. "The plan" is to still tie-the-knot this fall, but we are going to reschedule our celebration - tentatively looking at early June 2021 - when we can all hopefully dance and share drinks (never again) without fear. We'll send out more details in the coming months.

Question

When will I get more details on the wedding?

Answer

Soon! We're hard at work ironing out all the details and will update this website as soon as new decisions are made.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please send us your RSVPs by July 15, 2020 through this website. The sooner the better!

Question

I'm coming from out of town. Should I rent a car?

Answer

It's your choice. Minneapolis/St Paul has Lyft, Uber and taxis as well as a robust public transportation system (including bike shares). The city's bike infrastructure is incredible. We're also encouraging all locals to offer out-of-towners rides from the ceremony to the reception. But, driving is very easy and fast.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We think it's best to enjoy the Twin Cities neighborhoods, so we recommend renting a house in Minneapolis or St Paul. The most convenient neighborhoods for the weekend are Minneapolis' Longfellow, Seward, Howe, Nokomis, Kingfield and Lynnhurst neighborhoods, and St Paul's Highland Park and Macalaster-Groveland neighborhoods. If hotels are really your thing, stay tuned!

Question

What's with that super-serious painting on the save the dates?

Answer

It's a portrait of us painted by a local artist Lisa Luck! We do look a little serious, but we're pretty serious about each other. Check out: @daughtersandsuns on Instagram

Question

Who was the first person to RSVP to our very first wedding!?

Answer

Jon Holt and Iris Howorth Holt! Jon and Iris live a satisfying life in Raleigh-Durham, NC. Jon is part humanoid David sculpture and part genius smiling robot, pursuing a graduate degree and countless sporting and musical participant ribbons. Iris is a boss. She meal preps like a boss. She attends 15 weddings a year like a boss. Raises cold hard cash for the cash-strapped Law students at UNC, like a boss. And, costume designs the entire Howorth Holt family menagerie like a boss. So, what are you waiting for? RSVP now and come meet Jon and Iris for yourself at our wedding!
