We've lived within walking distance of Old Town since 2022 and it's one of our favorite places in Albuquerque. We highly recommend Church Street Cafe for excellent New Mexican food, Blackbird Coffee House for unique coffee drinks, Salsa Saint for fantastic NM hot sauces to take home, Lapis Room Art Gallery for funky local art, and the Rattlesnake Museum for anyone who isn't scared of creepy crawly things!
Rising from the hustle and bustle of Albuquerque, you ascend one of America’s most stunning urban peaks. Reaching the 10,378-foot crest of the Sandia Mountains, an 11,000 square mile panoramic view awaits you. Must-see for mountain lovers!
This is probably Marina's favorite place in all of New Mexico. If you like odd museums that are basically some whacky guy's personal obsession, this is the spot for you. Plus, you get to take a gorgeous drive up the mountains to see it. Don't forget your quarters!
Our neighborhood farmer’s market is definitely worth a visit on Saturday morning before the wedding. There are great options for breakfast and snacks, like our favorite chile relleno burrito and hibiscus agua fresca. Plus, in September they will be roasting NM green chile at the market!
Unique immersive art experience in Santa Fe, NM. It's about an hour drive north of Albuquerque or you can take the Railrunner train.
Experience the legendary healing mineral springs at Ojo Caliente! Worth the drive from Albuquerque, but there is also a smaller (but equally relaxing) location at Ojo Santa Fe.
Want to see some petroglyphs? Check out this amazing national monument! Our favorite petroglyphs are at the Piedras Marcadas Trail.
On Sunday night, find a seat at one of the outdoor patios on Central Ave. We recommend DWNTR at Arrive Hotel, 505 Central Food Hall, or Ex Novo. Grab a drink and watch the lowriders cruise down Route 66!
