Some love stories start with a grand romantic moment. Ours started with a joke. We met when we both became godparents to the same little girl. Zack, in true Zack fashion, immediately cracked a joke that we “technically had a child together.” I rolled my eyes, laughed… and then he ghosted me for a few months. (Rude, right?) But once we finally started talking, that was it—we were hooked. Conversations flowed effortlessly, and it felt like we had known each other forever. Turns out, we kind of had! We later discovered that our parents knew each other, and there's even a chance we met when Zack was 4 and I was 1. Fate? Maybe. Meant to be? Absolutely. Fast forward to Christmas time—our favorite season. Zack filled our home with hundreds of rose petals, leading me down the stairs to our living room, where he was waiting on one knee in front of our Christmas tree. It was the easiest “yes” ever. And now, here we are, ready to start the next chapter of our adventure—this time, with no ghosting involved.
