We're Getting Married!

On July 19th 2010, Marilyn and Matt met for the first time at Virginia Tech. They had both just graduated from high school and became fast friends when they were placed in the same freshmen year orientation group. Although their small group became close over the course of a couple days, they didn't think they'd really see each other around once the school year started. Fast forward to freshmen move-in weekend - Marilyn had just finished a trip to the bookstore with her family and Matt had just said goodbye to his when they ran into each other right outside of the bookstore. No phone numbers were exchanged, but because Facebook was in its prime, Matt sent Marilyn a FB message soon after. Marilyn and Matt stayed close friends and shared many great memories at VT (including late night DX runs and football games). They graduated and didn't see each other again until September 2015, when they realized they would both be in New York City at the same time and decided to catch up post graduation. The rest is history! Matt moved to VA in 2017 and proposed on April 20th 2019 in Georgetown, DC - the same spot where they had their first date in DC while they dated long distance between New York/New Jersey/DC. Marilyn and Matt can't wait to celebrate with you on August 14th 2021!!!
