The Battery Atlanta is home of the Atlanta Braves. As avid Braves fans, this is one of Marilee and Bridger's favorite Atlanta activities. The Battery Atlanta offers shopping, dining, live music, and family-friendly entertainment beyond Braves games, as December will be the off-season.
World of Coca-Cola
The World of Coke is always a cool and entertaining place to visit whether you've never been or have been 100 times like us! At the World of Coca-Cola, you can check out cool exhibits, taste drinks from around the world, and dive into the story behind the brand.
Georgia Aquarium
An Atlanta classic! Dolphins, colorful fish, giant whale sharks, penguins and all kind of other amazing marine life. Perfect place for a relaxed daytime adventure during your trip.
College Football Hall of Fame
If you’re big college football fans like Marilee and Bridger, Marilee being an SEC grad from Mississippi State, you’ll love the College Football Hall of Fame. It’s packed with interactive exhibits, legendary memorabilia, and fun experiences that celebrate the sport. You can even try to find tickets to the SEC Championship at Mercedes Benz Stadium downtown the day after the wedding!
Centennial Olympic Park
Right in the middle of downtown, this park is a great spot to slow down and soak in the city. Walk around the iconic Fountain of Rings, enjoy views of the Atlanta skyline, and check out the monuments from the 1996 Olympics. It’s an easy place to grab photos, relax for a bit, or even take a ride on Skyview Atlanta,
The Center Atlanta
If you’re like Marilee and love the world of broadcast news, then the CNN Center is a perfect stop. You can take a behind-the-scenes tour to see how live broadcasts come together, then stick around to enjoy the food court and browse shops for CNN-themed souvenirs.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium
The SEC Championship will be taking place at the Benz the Saturday after the wedding, December 5th! A great opportunity to cross of a bucket-list item for any big SEC College Football fans. If your lucky, the Falcons may even be playing at home the following Sunday, December 6th.
Ponce City Market
If you’re in the mood to shop and grab something delicious, Ponce City Market is the spot. It’s full of cool boutiques and an amazing food hall with unique bites you won’t find anywhere else. But don’t miss the rooftop! Skyline views, games, and drinks make it the perfect place to hang out and soak in Atlanta.

If you’re like Marilee and your daily mission is 10K steps, Piedmont Park is the perfect spot to get them in. Going on walks is one of Marilee and Bridger’s favorite ways to spend uninterrupted time together, and this beautiful park offers wide paths, peaceful green spaces, Lake Clara Meer, and some of the best skyline views of Midtown Atlanta.

If you’re in the mood for some Christmas shopping, Lenox Square is the place to go. This iconic Atlanta mall is packed with both luxury favorites and well-known brands, making it easy to knock out gifts for everyone on your list. During the holidays it feels extra festive, with seasonal décor and plenty of spots to stop for coffee or a bite between stores. Perfect for a cozy December shopping day.
