Short Pump Town Center
The mall is located adjacent to our hotel! They've got great options for food and shopping plus it's a wonderful spot to take a walk in the beautiful Richmond summer weather.
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
The VMFA is one of the best art museums on the east coast. Some of Mariha's favorite art pieces can be found in its halls. The museum is also in one of the most historic neighborhoods in Richmond and close to Virginia Commonwealth University. Admission is free for general exhibits and tickets for special exhibits can be purchased on their website.
Maymont Mansion and Gardens
One of the most beautiful spots in Richmond, Maymont Park is a very special place for Faraz and Mariha. He proposed to her in the Italian Rose Gardens! Maymont is a great spot to get pictures before the events of the weekend since it's relatively close to the event locations. There's also a petting zoo and wildlife conservatory center. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
James River Parks
The James River Park Systems gives us access to some incredible trails and spots near the historic James River. Check out their website for all the different activities the Park System has to offer! We especially recommend Pony Pasture and the Pipeline.
