Welcome to our not-so-average national park wedding! We’ve chosen to keep things small and intimate so we can fully enjoy this day with our closest family and friends. Instead of following a traditional wedding format, we’ve created a relaxed, unconventional day centered around the things we love most. Our hope is that it feels personal, meaningful, and memorable without the pressure of formality or expectations. Below you’ll find details for each gathering. We can’t wait to share this adventure with you! As much as we would love to have everyone with us, we completely understand that travel isn't possible for all. Your love and support mean the world to us, whether near or far. If you’re unable to join us in the park, we hope you’ll celebrate with us at a "Happily Ever After" party closer to home which will be held at a later date. We would be so grateful to share that special time with you.

Ceremony & Picnic

10:00 am - 11:00 am

Cathedral Beach, Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park, CA 95389

Cocktail Attire (with a practical twist!). While cocktail attire is encouraged, please note the event will be outdoors. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Ladies, consider block heels for easier movement on the terrain.

Yes, it’s an early wake-up call and on a Monday! Since we’re getting married in a public space, the early weekday timing helps minimize crowds and ensures parking is available, creating a more intimate experience. Following the ceremony, we’ll have light refreshments picnic style! A few things to note: 1. There will not be seating for the ceremony. Park restrictions only allow chairs for elderly/handicapped. 2. Only 8 cars are permitted to park at the ceremony site. To help with this, we’ll be providing transportation from Oakhurst. If you plan to drive yourself or stay within the park, we strongly recommend carpooling.

Train Ride

Mon, Jun 8, 2026, 1:00 pm - Tue, Jun 9, 2026, 2:30 pm

Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad
56001 Highway 41, Fish Camp, CA 93623

You didn’t think Alex Gillman would get married without a train involved, did you? After the ceremony, we’re keeping things on track with a scenic train ride through the redwoods. This event is optional. Feel free to join us or if you’d prefer to explore the park or head back to your hotel to rest before the reception that is completely fine too.

Reception

3:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Time to celebrate! Cocktail hour begins at 3:30. Feel free to arrive any time between 3:30 and 4:30. Dinner will be served at 5.
