Activities begin on Thursday, June 11th, and guests are welcome to arrive anytime starting then. If you’re planning to arrive earlier in the week or want to coordinate timing, just reach out to us please!
We will have food provided for you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday is breakfast only. Kitchens are available for your use outside of those meals. Feel free to bring your own snacks, drinks, etc. Please share dietary restrictions and allergies when RSVPing.
We kindly ask that guests do not bring pets to camp for the weekend. While we absolutely love animals and can accommodate special situations if needed, our own dogs do not get along well with other dogs they don't know, and we’d like to avoid any stress or safety issues during the celebration. If you have a unique situation or concern, please reach out to us ahead of time and we’re happy to talk it through.
We recommend having access to a rental car. Once you arrive at camp, you won’t need to travel much, but Camp Robbinswold is in a rural area and not accessible by public transportation or rideshare. If you’re able to coordinate a ride with another guest, you may be able to skip renting a car — otherwise, having one will make getting to and from camp much easier.
Feel free to reach out to us directly — Morgan & Mariesa We’re happy to help with anything from travel planning to lodging questions.
Nope! There is no cost to stay at Camp Robbinswold for the weekend. That said, camp is always grateful for donations, and we’d love your help in stewarding the space while you’re here — whether that’s treating the facilities with care or lending a hand if you see something that could use a little help. Your thoughtfulness helps keep camp beautiful for everyone.
If you’re staying at camp, please plan to bring your own twin bedding (sleeping bag, sheets, pillow, etc.). You're welcome to ship bedding to camp ahead of time, or there are plenty of options for purchasing bedding on your way to camp in Shelton and Olympia such as Walmart and Target. For clothing, feel free to dress up as much or as little as you’d like — this is a relaxed, camp-style celebration. Keep in mind that Washington weather can vary quite a bit: days can be warm and sunny, while evenings are often cooler and sometimes damp. Layers are your friend! As Tom Varns says, Washington has “the best summer weather in the U.S.” — but it’s still the Pacific Northwest, so it’s best to come prepared. We recommend bringing: Bedding or sleeping bag A flashlight or headlamp (very helpful at night) A jacket or sweatshirt for evenings Comfortable walking shoes- close-toed shoes are recommended on our beaches *No stiletto or narrow heels allowed. A refillable water bottle Swimwear (highly recommended!) Toiletries & personal items If you have any questions about what to bring or what to expect, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help!
As much as we love you all and wish the weekend could go on forever, the reality is that we do have to return to work. You’re absolutely welcome to stick around after the weekend if you’d like — just know that our availability will taper off once the work week begins. If you would like to stay after the weekend, please reach out to coordinate. Thank you for understanding, and for helping us wrap up the weekend smoothly!
The closest major airport is Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA). From there, Camp Robbinswold is about a 2 to 2.5 hour drive, depending on traffic and ferry schedules. Portland, OR is not much further away; just over 3 hours from camp.
Nope! We’re not accepting gifts — celebrating together is what matters most to us.
