We were both rerouted to go to DePaul University two weeks before classes started and ended up in the same late sign up film class. There, the way he likes to tell it, I was the first girl to talk to him in film class. We clicked immediately and became great friends and collaborators, creating amazing projects together. After we finished a film shoot early one day, Nathan mentioned he'd never been to Navy Pier, and I decided to show him. Having only ever made it there in a car, I underestimated how long it'd take to walk there, and we ended up walking and talking for over 30,000 steps over the course of that evening and really connected. As we were walking back, we sat on a pier and watched the clouds illuminated by the city lights, and he asked me "Is this romantic?". I told him "Only if you want it to be," and he said "I want it to be." I said, "Let's try it out," and we've been trying it out ever since. In the four years we've been together, we've created countless amazing memories, tons of beautiful videos, and built a life together we're happy with and proud of. We look forward to sharing more years together and want to invite you to celebrate our joy with us!
