Our wedding attire is semi-formal. We want our guests to wear what they are comfortable in--whether that means Indian or American attire is up to you! Bright colors are encouraged, especially at the Sangeet and Indian ceremony. If you have any questions about attire, please let us know!
Traditionally celebrated in the Punjab region of India, the Sangeet ceremony serves as a form of celebration for the wedding to come. The Sangeet is solely conducted to relish in the happiness and joy surrounding the couple. It is a vibrant, festive celebration with bright colors, song, and dance.
In Hindu weddings, the groom is led to the marriage venue in a processional known as the Baraat. The groom arrives on a white horse, celebrating with drums, music, and dancing with his family and guests. The groom's family greets the bride's family and guests, exchanging garlands prior to the wedding ceremony.
The health and safety of our family and friends is of utmost important to us. We will be following CDC and local guidance and will provide updates as our wedding gets closer. We ask that our guests be fully vaccinated against COVID. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms at the time of our wedding, please stay home to help keep others safe.
