FAQs

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We are planning to have our ceremony outside on the lawn of the Gheens Foundation Lodge, weather permitting. Be prepared to walk on the grass! Kentucky springtime is anything but predictable, so you should probably bring a bathing suit, parka, galoshes, and an umbrella just to be safe. Otherwise, semi-formal attire will work. We know you'll class up the joint!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, please! We have made plans for all single invites to include a plus one.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We prefer an adults-only gathering. We love you, and we love your kids! However, we think you'll have the best time if you can drink, dance, and socialize to your heart's content without your littles.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony is planned to begin promptly at 4:30, so we recommend arriving at the venue by 4:15 p.m. to give you time to park and find your seat.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The parking lot is right outside the venue. If you can carpool, that always helps.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are a million great AirBnBs and hotels all over Louisville. Check out our "Travel" page for hotels where we secured a group rate.

Question

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Because we are traveling for our wedding, we would prefer to receive gifts in the mail at our home address rather than at the wedding. Thanks for thinking of us!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! See our "Registry" page. While we've put a few items on there, what we would love most is a contribution to our honeymoon fund.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as possible about your specific needs, and we will do our best to accommodate them (or at least warn you what not to eat!).
