How can I prepare for the altitude?

Answer

Vail is over 8,000 feet above sea level. Flying in a few days early can help acclimate you to the altitude. Staying well hydrated is key! Alcohol has stronger effects at high altitudes, so please drink responsibly.

What can expect the weather to be in Vail in June?

Answer

Temperatures fluctuate throughout the day in the mountains. On average temperatures may reach 80*F during the day and drop into the 40*Fs over night, so make sure to pack layers and check the forecast before packing.

What should I expect at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside. Winds can be expected on the wedding deck. Please bring a shawl if you get cold easily. You can expect a short walk of 0.2 miles from the gondola to the wedding deck (an estimated 5-7 minute walk). There is a very slight incline. The walkway is paved; you will not have to walk on grass (unless you choose to for pictures).

Should I pack clothes for outdoor activities?

Answer

The Four Seasons Resort has offered complimentary pool passes to hotel guests. We will have additional passes for those not staying at the hotel. Please bring a bathing suit if you'd like to go for a dip! There are many hikes and walks in the area if you'd like to bring appropriate clothes and shoes for those activities.
