Think of “Dressy Casual” as a step under semiformal/cocktail! It’s a way to describe an overall aesthetic that is not-all-the-way-formal-but-please-don’t-wear-shorts-and-a-polo. For men, a full suit isn’t required, just nice pants that aren’t jeans and a button-up shirt; a jacket and tie are optional. For ladies, a pretty dress (any length) or jumpsuit is fine. For shoes, keep in mind we will be taking family photos in the park (see more on that below).
If the weather cooperates, we will all be uncovered – there is a grassy area in front of the gazebo for guests, and we will be on the gazebo steps. If it rains the day or morning prior, the ground could be slightly wet. However, if there is any chance of rain, we can all get comfortable underneath the gazebo! Family photos will be taken at the gazebo and surrounding park area.
Lots of family photos in Eden Park!! Prepare to walk to a few areas within the park. Practice those smiles and poses ;)
Eden Park has plenty of free parking throughout the park–on the street and in small lots. Hinkle Gazebo will be closest to the Krohn Conservatory. However, if there is an event being held here, you may need to park by the Overlook, Spring House Gazebo, or Tom Jones Commons. For dinner, the city offers paid street parking and paid parking garages.
We’d appreciate an unplugged wedding ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present. Our professional photographer takes beautiful photos and we will share all the images once they are available!
Please allow at least 15 minutes to find parking and walk to the gazebo.
We love our nieces and nephews, but kindly ask that the Friday night dinner and all of Saturday's wedding celebrations be adults-only. Kids are welcome at Thursday's dinner and Friday's Oakley Greens day activity.
Using our home address as the central location, all planned activities are approximately a 15-minute drive! Uber and Lyft are a great option if you don’t want to worry about driving.
