Unfortunately Due to COVID-19 our wedding has been canceled for all our Guests except Immediate family.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we have no choice but to have our wedding with just immediate family and our wedding party. We are so sad to inform our guest with this as we were so excited to have you all celebrate with us.

On a fall day in October of 2015, Alyssa (my Matron Of Honor) & I were hiking, chatting about what my "ideal guy" was, as Alyssa was convinced that she knew her friend Jared Bruns would be the perfect match for me. Alyssa convinced me that he was the male version of myself & that we were perfect for each other. In complete denial, I said, “No, I’m NOT interested.” Rewind two years earlier in 2013 Jared had messaged me: “Hi, I know this is weird but I just thought you should know I think you’re so beautiful, #awks #justhadtosayit,” which at the time made me think he was a creep. I was not at all interested, but we continued to keep up with each other from a distance on social media. About a month after that hike, Jared contacted me out of the blue. We started talking and I realized quickly that we were very similar and had alot in common. Before I knew it, within 5 days he was driving 8 hours from Virgina to see me dance in The Nutcracker! The first time he saw me was onstage. Afterwards, when I laid eyes on him for the first time, it was NOTHING like i had expected! You see, the only photo of Jared that he had sent to me was him wearing headphones- he looked bald, made a stupid face covered in shaving cream from a double-chin-selfie-angle. When I saw him I was BLOWN away. God had sent me an angel... All I could focus on were the most amazing eyes I had ever seen on the most handsome sexy man I’d ever met. As I remember it there was a halo around his head with light gleaming out of him. It was love at first sight. I was a stubborn 16 year old who thought she was going to be single for a long time, but the minute I met Jared I felt this connection I couldn’t deny. Jared was placed in my life for a reason. The Lord knew that we needed each other. The timing was Divine. Jared had to really work for it, as we were best friends for around 2 1/2 years before we started dating. Now 5 years later we are ready to commit to spending forever together.

Embarrassing as it is, in 2014, I sent a direct message to Marie on Instagram. I said something as smooth as a 17 year old could, and it was terribly awkward. I had never even met Marie. I had only heard about her from Alyssa, a good friend who is now married to my best friend, and my best man, Jarred Shaw. It wasn't until November of 2015, when I was at college in Virginia, that I had the chance to see her. Marie was dancing in the Nutcracker Ballet, and I drove from Virginia to Dayton, Ohio just to see it. We had been texting for a couple weeks at this point, but had never met in person. I remember sitting in the theater, waiting for the show to start, not being able to focus on a book I had brought because i was so dang nervous and excited and could not wait to finally meet Marie. The show started and she was perfect. Elegant, light as air, and full of joy to be expressing herself. After the show I gave her some flowers, and we went to see who else but Jarred and Alyssa. Over the next 4 years, We went from talking on the phone and writing letters to each other to taking trip after trip to Dayton, Facetiming with Marie hundreds of times, becoming her boyfriend, and finally on my 23rd birthday, I asked her to marry me in a little french bistro in Cincinnati, and thank God she said yes. God only knows what I'd be without her, and I can't wait to spend all my days with her.
