Sean and Marie first met in the Summer of 2018, both working at a regional theatre called the Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater, Michigan. Sean was an actor and Marie worked in the costume shop where they became friendly acquaintances, but it wasn't until the following year where they started dating and fell in love. After the Summer of 2019, Marie had graduated college with a plan to move to New York City with her friends and join Sean, who was already living there. The magic of a surreal, summer romance faded into a fruitful relationship throughout the Fall and Winter. In March of 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic hit NYC in full force and, on a whim, she invited him to stay for the two-week quarantine period. Two weeks became five weeks which became three months, all while confined to the same, small NYC apartment. Although most relationships were tested around the globe, their bond only grew deeper and richer. Once the first phase of reopening had begun, they both moved back to their respective hometowns of Water Mill, NY and Kansas City, MO for the rest of 2020 into 2021. Both of them visited each other's hometowns and families, with Marie enjoying the warm, sandy beaches of Southampton and Sean enjoying the -10 degree temperatures of the Great Plains along with some fantastic barbeque. Marie joined Sean at his late-grandparents’ property on Long Island for most of 2021 before setting roots in Brooklyn, where they now reside.
