Buffalo Mountain Lodge

We've blocked the entire lodge for our wedding! Buffalo Mountain Lodge has cozy rooms and delicious food, as well as easy access to the town of Banff via a 15-20 minute walk or a quick bus ride. The lodge is also walking-distance to hiking trails! We have also blocked a number of rooms for the days surrounding the wedding! We especially suggest staying with us on Friday (and of course Saturday), so that the 4 PM check-in time on Saturday doesn’t keep you from fully enjoying wedding day festivities. There are different types of rooms depending on your needs/style/family size. Note that Friday's and Sunday's blocked rooms at Buffalo Mountain Lodge will be released to the public on July 26th. We strongly suggest booking as early as possible to make sure you get the room you want for your entire stay (rooms in Banff are in high demand year-round, and our wedding is the same weekend as the Banff Mountain Film Festival). For booking, call the lodge Monday-Friday during business hours to speak with the reservations team directly, and reference the "Siwicki-Northup wedding" to receive our wedding block rates. 403.410.7417 ext. 1 Mon-Fri, 8AM - 5PM Mountain Time **Reservations by phone only. Getting To Banff

From your arrival at Calgary International Airport, you can get to Banff entirely via shuttles or public transit, or you can rent a car if you plan to explore deeper into the Canadian Rockies while you're here. Car rentals are available in Banff if you decide to do a bit of both, and overall many places in the park are well-connected by shuttles and busses. We've also made a ride-sharing google doc, linked at the bottom of the page.

Flight

PSA regarding airlines

Unfortunately the rumors are true. Air Canada can be a risky choice for traveling to Calgary. Flights are often delayed, so if you have a connection as part of your itinerary or are trying to make an airport shuttle at a specific time, it may be best to avoid flying Air Canada if possible. We’ve had good experiences with WestJet and United to/from YYC.

The lodge is located on Roam route #2 Roam bus routes connect many of the must-see spots in Banff and Lake Louise! Car Rentals in Banff

Avis, Enterprise, and Hertz all have operations in the town of Banff If you plan on parking at any trailheads in Banff National Park, a parks pass is required. You can purchase a pass at the park gates or at a park visitor center (in Banff or Lake Louise).
