Courtney and I were married on August 11, 1997, in Killeen, TX, when I was stationed in the Army at Fort Hood, TX. During the early years of our marriage, we suffered from hardships, ups and downs, and uncertainties. We even separated intermittently for a few years, primarily when Courtney joined the Army and throughout his deployment to Iraq. Despite the difficult times, we have always maintained a friendship and admiration right through the thirty-plus years of knowing one another. There is a saying that if something is meant for you, it will eventually find its way to you, no matter the obstacles. That is precisely how we came to be once again. Since our rekindling, our marriage and relationship have become like a blossoming wildflower with solid roots and a stronger foundation. Courtney and I have so much to celebrate these days. We are grateful for the years we've shared. We are devoted parents to four lovely girls: Keira, Courtney, Arianna, and Courina. We encourage each other to become the better version of ourselves. We aim to fill our home with laughter, understanding, and unconditional love and will continue to celebrate our growth with our children and family. Our upcoming vow renewal is to commemorate our past, present, and future as we are excited for more years to come, in Jesus' name. Furthermore, this leads us to another significant event. We will also be hosting a celebration for my grandfather, Blaise, who will turn 95 in January 2025. Blaise is a man of old-fashioned values and ideology. He is also a man of few words but deep emotions. So, it has been his lifelong wish and dream of witnessing my marriage to Courtney. We are determined to make his wish come true, to celebrate his life, and to honor him while he is still with us. We want to share our love with him and invite everyone to do the same. August 9th and 10th are all about celebrating family—a coming together of two families, a celebration of life, and the love we share for each other. We hope for a shared experience where people from all walks of life come together to become part of a more prominent family. We pray for unity, love, joy, and laughter with our newly extended family. Your presence is not just a formality but a significant part of our festivities. This celebration, marking a milestone in our family's history, would be incomplete without you. Your being there would mean the world to us. We would be honored if you could join us on August 9th and 10th. Your presence will complete the celebration. We sincerely thank you for visiting our page and reading our story. We can't wait to share joyous occasions with you. Sincerely Courtney & Koukie
