We're so excited to see you all in just a few weeks! To make sure that this wonderful mixed-generation gathering stays happy and healthy for everyone, we ask that you please take a COVID-19 test before the wedding and stay home if you are sick. Thank you!
Like many of our generation, we met online. The first thing we talked about was how Marie was training for a triathlon, but one hip surgery later that's still on the to-do list. However, it turns out that we had a few other things in common, like a love of music, cooking, and reading, roots in New England, and the trials and tribulations of graduate school. After a first-date discussion of storm safety (when Ben gave Marie a flashlight, just in case) we've realized that it's much safer with each other. We reconvened for a delicious, albeit gritty, attempt at making korma, followed by a visit to the VMFA for jazz night. In the time since, we've had many celebrations, road trips, jam nights, hikes, and *successful* culinary experiments. We've learned a lot about supporting each other, through surgeries, dissertations, and all the other things that make life messy. We're two old souls (Ben puts two spaces between each sentence and Marie could out-knit your grandmother) excited to grow old together. Thank you for loving and supporting us as we grew, learned, and found each other. We can't wait to share this day with all of you!
