The most obvious choice. Live music, bars, lights and fun. Do it.
Our first date ever was at the cocktail bar "The Fox" over here in East. This is a hip part of town, with lots of great vibey bar and food options. A very different vibe from the tourist locale of Broadway. East Nashville Beer Works, The Village Pub, Shelby Park, and 5 Points has some great offerings. Cool vintage stores on this side of town- not the place to boutique shop.
A little bit of a drive- about 20 minutes from downtown. Lovely hiking if moving your body is something that interests you this weekend!
Centennial is home to the Parthenon- the only exact replica of the Greek landmark in the world. Right across the street is Vanderbilt- a beautiful campus to walk through!
A charming, historic, little Main Street town 30 minutes south of Nashville if you're extending your stay, or planning on staying all day Sunday.
If you’re in town all of Friday or Sunday, make it a whole day, and go get brunch in Franklin, shop around a bit, and then head to Arrington, listen to some music, and drink some wine. It’s a great day activity!
