¡Bienvenidos! You have many of options for getting to Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico. There are direct flights from Dallas and Houston, and you can also fly into Mexico city and get to Querétaro via bus from airport (3 hours) or plane. Upon landing, take an Uber into Querétaro, or ask the airport to order you a taxi.
We chose Querétaro because Marielle's family has deep ties to the city, and because of its proximity to some of our favorite places to visit. The Bajío area is the cradle of Mexican Independence from the Spanish Empire, and there are many cultural and historical sites nearby. San Miguel de Allende is about an hour away, and Guanajuato is an hour and a half. All are accessible by bus and Uber.
