We're getting married!

Teivaarii and I met in a cultural dance group we are both apart of called Cultural Envoy. Cultural Envoy is a leadership program that gives students the opportunity and space to practice their culture through dance. Since I did not grow up with the opportunity to learn about my Native American side I was stoked when I found out about this group. Little did I know that I would meet the love of my life here. When I first joined this group I remember seeing this cute, shy brown boy that I was oddly drawn to. So of course I had to make the first move on him at this Halloween dance at our school. I acted all shy and flirty with him to make sure he knew I was interested! From then on we started hanging out and then one night we had "the talk." Everyone had already been calling me his girlfriend and I remember being SO UPSET because we had never made anything official. To be quite honest I wasn't ready to settle down either. So when we were having this talk I basically told him every bad thing about me in hopes of scaring him off. Surprisingly enough it did not work lol....he was still interested! When he asked me what I wanted I was ready to tell him that I did NOT want to move forward in a relationship but I kid you not when I opened my mouth I said "Sure, let's give this a try." I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT CAME OUT OF MY MOUTH but I decided to roll with it and had an open heart. Since then we have danced together, laughed together, cried together, and grown together. Now here I am with my cute Tahitian boy and we are ready to celebrate the rest of our lives together!
