Dec 24th 2016…. Ah Yes! The day that changed both of our lives. Well, to get a better understanding of the significance of that day. (Other than the fact that you’re reading this from a wedding website, one can assume its wedding related) But, to really capture the TRUE meaning of that day, we are going to have to go back in time, WAY BACK in time. The Year is Fall 2004, Kutztown, PA. A young Maria, so hopeful and ambitious to what the world may bring, is set to cross paths with a young, strapping, charming, and adventures Andres. Both had no idea what the universe had in store for them. The Meeting: It was the Fall semester’s 1st SALSA Meeting and everyone is getting to know each with the ever so popular “Ice Breaker”. We said our piece and the meeting commenced (nothing special here, it’s just when we first saw each other.) You’ve heard the expression “love at first sight”, Well that didn’t happen here, Kind of. I was later revealed that Maria my have not fell in love right away, but she was intrigued by Andres’s Alluring Green eyes, so you can say this it was more on the lines of “like at first glance”.

As the School year continued on, both Maria and Andres joined the Greek Community by pledging for a sorority and fraternity. This allowed the two to get to know each other more and share a unique bond that few have experienced. They say the stomach is the best way to a man’s heart, well its true for Andres a least. Who knew a man can fall in love over a wonderful conversation and a burrito? “The Bubble” as it was called, was the university’s prime Burrito’s Spot. It was lunch time, and Andres and Maria were set to have a date. As the time came to pay, Andres was embarrassed to find out that he is out of flex dollars and cannot pay for his meal. Maria goes ahead and say “its ok I got you”. Andres was immediately in Love. Now, to some this may not seem the catalyst to spark a romance, but if anyone who knows Andres, then you know food makes him a loyal dude (ask his Cacique about the bucket of wings). Both Andres and Maria became new members of their Greek organizations and the dating became a little more serious. They even can recall the exact day they announced our love for each other with a big kiss amongst all their friends as they all played whiffle ball on the mean streets of Topton City, PA.

As the years went on, their relationship grew simultaneously as they matured to adults. Dec 3rd 2016, Andres finally got the ring! Andres was so excited that he found the perfect ring that he drove one hour to Delaware to buy it because it’s tax free (something Maria had put him on when it came to buying things). She would always suggest taking the drive to buy something simply to not pay sales tax. Maria is always looking for the hook up or a good deal. Andres excited, he was ready to propose that day. As he speaking with the salesperson all he can think of is the perfect plan he had to do it, then he hears “did you get her ring size?” What? It completely slipped his mind to get the ring resized to fit her. Needless to say, his plans came to a screeching halt. Dec 24th 2016 – Andres and Maria headed to a friend’s house for a Christmas Eve Dinner. They walk in, the fire place is lit and soft R&B music was playing in the back ground. Andres nervous, gets on one knee and asked the women who he loved, cherished, and adored for over 10 years to be his wife. Tears of joy began and a big “YES”! Came out. Is it a Hollywood Romantic Movie? No, but it’s our Love Story, and there is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing throbbing moment (with a burrito).
