We meet in the dorms, where we lived on the same floor (two doors away). Mariano was shaving his beard in the dorm bathroom. When Danielle walked by, he asked how he should shave his beard. (She didn't know, but not long after she was shaving chops on his face.)

Mariano proposed 4/12/2025 on the Bonny Doon Cliffs, where we walked Dexter (our dog) 4-5 days a week when we lived in Santa Cruz. It's our favorite place in the world and was very sentimental.
