Flight
Easiest and generally cheapest options for flights. Once in Vancouver, there are two options to get to Nanaimo from Vancouver if you’re traveling by car: Taking the ferry heading to Duke Point (Nanaimo) from the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal. This is the closest ferry from the airport. Taking the Departure Bay ferry (Nanaimo) from the Horseshoe Bay terminal. Both ferries take around 2h to get to Nanaimo. We always book our ferry tickets in advance to make things easier.
Rental Car
July is the peak season, so it's best to book car rentals in advance as some places might run out of options quickly.
Travel Note
You will be approximately 1.5h away. Here is the address to the wedding location: Raven Lodge, Mount Washington Alpine Resort Nordic Drive, Comox-Strathcona, BC, V0P 1N0
Flight
If you want to skip the ferry, it's possible to book a flight from the Vancouver Airport to the Campbell River Airport. In Campbell River you can rent a car onsite and then drive to Mount Washington Alpine Resort (it takes about 45 mins).
Travel Note
To avoid any delays, we suggest booking your ferries in advance. To get to Nanaimo from Vancouver you can either use the Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen terminals. Leaving Nanaimo, you can either use the Departure Bay or Duke Point terminals.
