Mariann and Ivan met in middle school. Mariann didn’t like Ivan in middle school (little did she know she’d end up marrying the guy lol.) Ivan remained friends with Mariann’s sister, Jennifer, through high school. One night, they went out with friends to watch a movie. They talked the entire night and got to know each other, and Mariann realized that Ivan was a funny, sweet, and outgoing guy. The two remained friends and kept in touch after this night. A few months later, April 17, 2009, Ivan asked Mariann to be his girlfriend and the rest was history. Yes, you read that right, 2009! After high school, Mariann studied for nursing and Ivan chased his dreams of being in law enforcement. It was a long and bumpy road, but with each other’s encouragement and family support, they both established a career. In June 2020, they received the biggest blessing of all and welcomed their son, Leonardo. 11 years later, and you guys are probably wondering, “y el añillo pa cuando?” Well, on June 13, 2021, Mariann FINALLY became a fiancé! Ivan proposed at Leonardo’s first birthday party surrounded by family and friends and Mariann said yes! We’re so excited for all of you to join us as we say “I do!” on September 17, 2022!
