Unlike most love stories, Marianna and Trinity’s journey began as two strangers passing through the same middle school halls. Though their circles never quite mixed, it was only a matter of time before they would discover they were each other’s missing piece. In 2018, I had the privilege of introducing Trinity and Marianna to one another. Trinity and I had met through my first job at Chick-fil-A, and Marianna had been my safe space since middle school theatre. Halfway through 2019, my goal was simple – to bring my two best friends together so we could be an inseparable trio that summer. I knew they’d get along, but each moment I saw the way they looked at each other that summer, I realized this was the start of their forever. The couple wasn’t officially together until May 14, 2019 when Trinity wrote Marianna a poem to ask her out. That’s just how their love is – it’s traditional, gentle, and the kind of romance you hear about in books. But seeing it in real life? Even more beautiful. And in the Fall in 2019, Trinity said the golden words to Marianna,“I love you,” on the State Fair ferris wheel. Fast forward five years later their love for each has blossomed with every new adventure. Whether they were climbing a mountain in another state, dancing to their favorite music, road trips, coffee shops or watching the sunset over a picnic at Terry Park in Rockwall, their love can be found everywhere. Marianna and I always discussed our future – what we’d do, where we’d go, the education we’d receive, and who the lucky person would get to experience those things alongside us. That the lucky person for Marianna will forever be Trinity. If there is one thing anyone can learn from their love story, it’s that love is always patient and always kind. These two twin flames were meant to find each other in this lifetime, and on August 9, 2025, we’ll celebrate the beginning of their forever.
