We're Getting Married!

The story starts all the way back in high school. When Marianna tagged along at the last minute with one of her best friends to a backyard bonfire. There, in the backyard, was Kory building the bonfire. Little did he know that when he turned around he would see Marianna from across the yard and immediately want to get to know her. They spent the night getting to know each other, playing games like Apples to Apples with their friends. Kory was cheating to make sure he always picked Marianna’s card; Marianna was letting him get away with it because he was cute. When the night ended, they said their goodbyes, both too nervous to ask for the other's number. Later that night, when Marianna arrived home she received a message from her friend asking for permission to give Kory her number. Marianna said, “Yes!” That night was the start of their journey falling in love. Jump ten years into the future with schooling done, trades perfected, and life started, they decided that for their 10th anniversary they would spend the weekend away in Hocking Hills. On their first day there, they got rained-in, and decided to put on Marianna’s favorite movie (Harry Potter, of course) and picked a board game to play. When Marianna got up and briefly left the room, Kory decided that this moment—the two of them goofing off and relaxing together on a cozy night—was ‘thee’ moment. When Marianna came back into the room she could tell something was going on. But before she knew what was happening, Kory was down on one knee asking her for forever. Just like that night back in high school, Marianna said, “Yes!”
