EJ and Marianna have known of each other (through mutual friends) since their high school days. They followed each other on Instagram, but neither ever had the guts to reach out. If you ask EJ they met through Instagram. If you ask Marianna... well it all started with a swipe right on Bumble! We will let you pick which story you believe ;) Thank you to Bumble, they both finally had the courage to reach out to each other and the rest is history! A simple "hey how are you" (boring we know, but it is all Marianna had up her sleeve) led to their amazing relationship! EJ and Marianna couldn't be more opposite, but it is that very thing that allows them to be perfect for each other!
The first date consisted of Marianna and EJ indulging in their favorite meal... anything PASTA! Fratello's in Spartanburg, SC was the perfect spot for the two to officially meet for the first time (if you haven't tried it before, we recommend)! Both nervous, Marianna lightened the mood by immediately pointing out a typo that was on the menu... she thinks that moment won EJ over (just kidding)! Shortly after the first date... literally two days later, Marianna & EJ got back together for their second date at Unity Park in Greenville, SC. After that date, Unity Park has become one of their favorite spots to take the dogs on a walk, grab some good food, and enjoy the outdoors! After Unity Park, all the dates started ramping up. From an impromptu Zach Bryan concert (a week later), hiking Table Rock Mountain together (Marianna's first hike since 2015... WAS A STRUGGLE), meeting the families, Marianna forcing EJ to come to Carowinds with her, her family, and friends (she had no idea the whole time, but EJ apparently hates roller coasters), and so many more amazing adventures together! Their dates have been nothing short of adventurous, fun, and chaotic!
Marianna and EJ officially became official on 5/9/2024. After many fun dates crammed in a short period of time, EJ and Marianna knew that they were meant for each other! What an amazing journey it has been together!
The most magical day in the most magical city! On the second day of their European adventure, EJ and Marianna toured the breathtaking Palace of Versailles in Paris. After exploring the grand halls, they wandered into the stunning gardens, where EJ had a secret plan in motion. By the fountain in front of the palace, he asked a woman to take their photo, but what Marianna didn’t know was that he had shown her a note that read, “I am proposing.” As the picture was being taken, EJ dropped to one knee and pulled out the ring. Marianna said, “Yes, of course I will!”, and just like that, in the heart of Versailles, their forever began
