Once Upon a Time--eight years ago Marianna was a new arrival at her's and Brennan's middle school in their hometown. Back then she wasn't the most secure of person and had a bad habit of fishing for compliments in class. One day, overhearing this charade for the millionth time Brennan (who was secretly crushing on her) decided to tell her "Stop fishing for compliments, you know you're beautiful." Offended and flattered, Marianna did indeed stop fishing for compliments and instead began sitting behind him in class, and bothering him with her boy troubles, unaware he was into her. As the next five years went by they became best friends and as times became difficult for Marianna, Brennan never gave up on her or their friendship. He asked her to school dances when no one else would, never ignored her texts and always took her side even when she was wrong. One day though, they lost touch. A year later Brennan was laying in his dorm room late one night and decided to text her because he hadn't heard from her in awhile. She responded. They talked until 2 am and he finally confessed his on and off five year crush on her. She wasn't sure what to feel but when he asked her out she said yes. A month later they had their first movie perfect kiss on Marianna's doorstep and both immediately knew they found the one. The next year they faced many difficult challenges, such as long distance, but came out on the other side stronger then before. A year later he gave her a promise ring under the moon on the river. Four months later on Valentines day he confessed he wanted to marry her. Five months later he asked her to marry him playfully all day to annoy her before pulling out an actual ring that night when she said "No!" in frustration. Obviously, she said yes. Now they are both awaiting Saint Patrick's Day 2020 eagerly, because by the luck of their Irish ancestors they have found each other and hope to be together for many Saint Patty's Days to come!
