Things To Do

Oak Hill & Martha Berry Museum

Oak Hill & Martha Berry Museum

24 Veterans Memorial Highway Northeast, Rome, GA 30165

The Oak Hill home is a Greek Revival mansion built in the 1880s. It was the childhood home of Martha Berry, founder of Berry College, and later became her adult residence. Martha Berry gifted Oak Hill to the schools and the home remains as she left it in the 1930s. The Martha Berry Museum opened in 1972 on the Oak Hill Estate as a complement to the home and as a place to further tell the story of the Berry Schools.
